Low cost ISP PlusNet has decided to launch some new year discounts early by cutting the price of their top two “Unlimited Fibre” (FTTC) superfast broadband packages, which now start at just £3.75 per month for speeds of ‘up to’ 38Mbps and £8.75 per month for their 76Mbps service (first six months).

Budget ISP Fuel Broadband (formerly Primus Saver) has moved to make their existing offer, which is promoting 12 months of free unlimited broadband (up to 16Mbps) with included UK weekend and evening calls (normally £4 per month), even more attractive by throwing Google’s Chromecast video streaming device into the mix.

Customers of BT’s broadband powered YouView TV (IPTV) service can, following the operators successful application for interim relief at the Competition Appeal Tribunal, now get access to the Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 channels alongside their existing BTSport, ESPN and Eurosport content. As promotions go this one is certainly odder than most, which makes it worthy of a mention and that’s probably why they did it. In short, new customers who subscribe online to BT’s broadband, phone and or TV bundles, between now and 18th December, will also receive a free Cadbury’s Selection Stocking (chocolates).

Internet provider Sky Broadband (Sky) has today launched a new entry-level “Sky Fibre” superfast broadband (i.e. up to 38Mbps FTTC) service, which forgoes the past focus on unlimited usage allowances in favour of a 25GB data cap and a lower standard price of £10 per month (note: their unlimited options cost from £20 per month, with 76Mbps pushing that to £30).

Ultrafast urban-focused ISP Hyperoptic, which operates a 1000Mbps capable Fibre-to-the-Building (FTTB/H) network across parts of 12 cities in the United Kingdom, has announced another new promotion by offering 3 months of completely free fibre optic broadband and phone service to those they cover.

26th Nov, 2014 (17 Comments)

In case you hadn’t realised it, the Black Friday Sales phenomenon has over the past few years been imported from the USA and is now hitting UK shores. Naturally ISPs are getting in on the action and so BT has put their Totally Unlimited Broadband (ADSL2+ and FTTC / BTInfinity) packages on a special discount.
