Consumer magazine Which? has published the outcome from their latest H2 2016 reader survey of broadband ISP satisfaction, which for the 10th time has named Zen Internet the best of the bunch. Sadly the news isn’t so good for TalkTalk, which had the lowest customer satisfaction score of 37%.

Rochdale ISP Zen Internet has launched a range of new 4G based Mobile tariffs for their business customers, which harness EE’s network. A variety of handset and tablet bundles are on offer, as well as some SIM-Only plans.

Consumer magazine PC Pro has published the latest results from their annual PC Pro Awards 2016, which saw Zen Internet win the best broadband ISP gong and Plusnet secure the “Recommended” (runner-up) spot. Sadly it wasn’t such a good day for TalkTalk and EE.

Many broadband ISPs are concerned about the plan to give UK residential and small business consumers an automatic right to compensation (here) when their service fails, but not all. The Regulatory Manager of Zen Internet, Gary Hough, has said that they’re “broadly supportive” of the proposals.

UK ISP Zen Internet has announced that the reach of their “next generation” consumer broadband and high-capacity data network (e.g. Ethernet, FTTC, FTTP, EFM and ADSL) will be extended to 400 Points of Presence (PoPs) in BT exchanges by January 2017 (reaching over 500,000 postcodes).

UK ISP Zen Internet has surveyed more than 500 of their residential customers to discover how they rated the new ZyXEL VMG1312 router, which comes standard with Zen’s broadband services. Overall 70% rated the quality of the router as “good or excellent“, but WiFi performance could be better.

Shropshire-based broadband and telecoms provider Entanet has warned that the Government’s controversial Investigatory Powers Bill (IPB), which will force ISPs to snoop on their customers, is “not clear or workable” but still “looks certain to become law within weeks.”
