Believe it or not a new report from Yahoo! claims that the growth of broadband has also helped to 'supplement' other forms of media, such as TV and radio:
Broadband capabilities have sparked this new trend, which the report terms media meshing, by allowing users to easily supplement one medium with another.
The report asserts that just as television did not fully replace radio and radio did not replace newspapers, the Internet has found a place in the lives of todays consumers that exists alongside earlier media.
The study showed that 64% of broadband users also engage with some form of traditional media (TV, magazine, newspaper, or radio) while actively online, compared to 57% of dial-up users. The number jumps to 71% for wireless broadband users.More @
