BT Rich Media has teamed up with SPORTFIVE, a sports marketing group, to make the international qualifying and friendly games (won't be televised) available to fans streamed over broadband on the Internet:
Under the terms of the agreement, SPORTFIVE, which has the largest portfolio of European qualifying games, will use the BT Rich Media platform for publishing and distributing the video content. The games will be offered on http://www.qualifiers2006.com and promoted to over 10 million users via a range of affiliate sites such as http://www.soccernet.com, http://www.teamtalk.com, http://www.sportinglife.com and http://www.rivals.net .
Live games will cost 9.95 for a 250k or 500k stream and users can also download the game and retain it on their PC for a reduced cost of 6.95.
