Plusnet has today announced a reduction in its business broadband SDSL (same speed both ways) prices, while simultaneously highlighting the benefits of a faster upload speed:
While the majority of businesses are now seeing the benefits of broadband for downloading, most are still using broadband services which provide upload speeds of just 256kbps, compared to up to 2Mbps of downloading on the same service.
Neil Armstrong, Head of Marketing at PlusNet said Small and medium businesses increasingly need higher upload speeds to avoid sluggish email, websites and file transfers to their customers and suppliers.
SDSL, (Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line services), enable upload speeds to match download, so up to 2Mb is achievable both up and down the line. Historically SDSL was aimed just for big business, but from 1st November PlusNet is reducing the price of its SDSL services making it an ideal solution for businesses of any size.

1Mbps SDSL - £185 +vat per month
2Mbps SDSL - £215 +vat per month
This brings
Plusnet into line with a number of other providers that have been reducing their SDSL prices recently.
