BoltBlue Exits UK ISP Market - Expands Other Areas

Posted: 16th Apr, 2007 By: MarkJ
Broadband ADSL and Dialup offering operator BoltBlue has today announced the closure of its high-speed services, which will be effective from 31st May 2007:

Over the past 18 months Boltblue has seen a phenomenal business growth within both the UK and International market for their mobile entertainment products. With successful launches in Australia, USA and Ireland, the company plans to focus all resources on continuing international expansion within mobile. It is this continued growth in mobile that has led the business to make the decision to move out of the broadband business, closing its services on the 31st May 2007, to focus its efforts 100% on providing mobile entertainment services to its customers.

“Mobile entertainment has always been at the forefront and the principal reason for initiating a customer relationship. With broadband representing a single digit percentage of revenue, the decision to discontinue our broadband services means we can genuinely concentrate our efforts on developing mobile products and services matched to customer preference. The move fits with our brand values, we are building a strong position as the mobile entertainment provider of choice in the UK as well as high growth markets abroad and mobile entertainment now represents the bulk of the business”, says Michael Brown, the Group’s CEO.

To make the move as painless as possible Boltblue has been working with customers over the past 6 months to encourage migration to new broadband service providers. With only 1000 broadband customers left to migrate, Boltblue will continue to help them make a seamless switch with the supply of migration keys and support staff available to answer any questions they may have.

Harminder Singh, Boltblue’s Customer Services Manager adds, “We thank each of our customers for choosing Boltblue as their broadband provider and we hope that they continue to use Boltblue for email and mobile entertainment in the future.”
