Ofcom has closed its investigation into
Bulldog communications following assurances that improvements had and were continuing to be made. The ISP will update Ofcom each month on its progress and even issue compensation to affected customers:
Bulldog welcomes OFCOMs decision to close the investigation. We appreciate OFCOMs efforts to conduct the review in such a rigorous, robust and thorough manner and to have reached its decision to close the investigation in a relatively short timescale.
We were also pleased to have the opportunity to work closely and very openly with OFCOM during the investigation, which allowed us to demonstrate the continuous improvements we are achieving in key customer facing areas.
We regret the customer support issues that occurred during summer 2005, which have been addressed. We have implemented a wide range of measures to ensure that we are now able to deliver and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Todays announcement will give many more customers the confidence to benefit from Bulldogs outstanding and innovative proposition.ISP Review has seen complaints drop off to nothing over the past three weeks, indicating that the worst may be over. However Ofcom still stands ready to re-open it should complaints spike again.
Over the past week we also saw
Bulldog making attempts to communicate more with customers, although it remains to be seen whether they can keep this up and avoid similar problems happening again.
