Plusnet has today become the latest UK ISP to join Easynet's unbundled wholesale broadband product, LLUStream. This will enable the provider to trial its own 24Mbps ADSL2+ implementation.
Plusnet is also participating in BT's new 8Mbps ADSL MAX trial:
Earlier in the year, PlusNet took part in BTs IPStream Max technical trials which offered speeds of up to 8Mb to residential and business customers. These trials have now developed further; PlusNet customers in 25 BT exchanges across Greater London, Strathclyde, South Glamorgan, Cornwall and Northern Ireland will be able to benefit from speeds of up to 8Mb from 30th November. Customers across the whole of the UK should be able to enjoy speeds up to 8Mb by spring 2006.
Neil Armstrong, PlusNets Head of Marketing said We know that our customers are very keen to experience even faster broadband speeds. The trials with Easynet and BT mean we can offer even faster speeds at great value prices. Many of our customers will be getting an early Christmas present of a huge boost in speed.
PlusNet broadband services at speeds of up to 8Mb are available from just £14.99 per month. Pricing and availability for speeds up to 24Mb will be available in the next few weeks.
