Fans of Arsenal can now watch the football clubs pre-season matches in Austria live on the Internet thanks to broadband from BT, the clubs official ISP partner:
The offer is available to subscribers of the Arsenal TV Online service, which is accessed through http://www.Arsenal.com. It includes live streaming of the games being played against Weiz, Ritzing and FC Utrecht in July (full 90 minutes with commentary), a post-match interviews and extended highlights after the matches.
The development of broadband has delivered so many new opportunities for us, added Adrian Ford, Commercial Director at Arsenal. The technical advances over the last few years means that the PC is now very much an entertainment hub. In this new medium, we can deliver so much more for our fans not just the match coverage, but added value such as exclusive interviews. This really is just the beginning of the possibilities available to us in order for valuable content to be delivered to an ever growing fan base.
