UK-Bug reports that Tiscali's free broadband speed upgrades have hit a "
technical constraint". Its 150Kbps customers had been expecting 256Kbps by now, yet the unspecified problem has stalled the process:
"due to technical constraints at your local telephone exchange. This issue has affected only a small number of our customers and we sincerely apologise.
To compensate we will reduce the price of your 150k broadband package from £15.99 to £14.99 a month, starting from 1st February 2005. In the meantime, we will keep trying to get your speed upgrade completed and will let you know if we are successful."Its not known how many customers have been affected (one ISPs small is anothers big), nor the exact nature of the problem or when such upgrades might now take place.
