Freedom2Surf's Budget 8Mbps

ISP Freedom2Surf has introduced an entry-level ('Connect Start') broadband package, which offers speeds of up to 8Mbps from just £12.99 per month. The service is targeted at the truly basic level of usage, with a monthly 500MB data cap:
Despite podcasts and music/video downloads being the latest internet crazes there is still a large percentage of consumers that demand a very light but speedy internet connection. freedom2surfs Connect Start product has a capacity of 0.5 GB, allowing UK consumers to fulfil their basic online requirements such as; email, booking flights and holidays and internet banking.
freedom2surfs Connect Start product will be available immediately on either a monthly or annual contract. Consumers can benefit from the flexibility of a monthly contract from just £12.99 a month and an activation fee of £49.99 or alternatively £15.99 and free activation for an annual contract. In addition to launching Connect Start, freedom2surf has also announced that it has waived the activation fee on its Connect Home and Connect Plus products which have also moved to a flat monthly fee of £19.99 and £24.99 respectively.
For current freedom2surf customers, the bonus scheme for recommending a friend has increased from £10 to £15. There are no restrictions on this, enabling freedom2surf customers to obtain credit on their account for every successful recommendation they make.
