Once again Tiscali UK has managed to surpass the "HIGH" mark on our '
ISP Complaints page, having only recently been reset to 0 at the start of 2007. Tiscali is not unaccustomed to being the first in this field, although E7even took the "honour" last year.
This week saw Tiscali gain a further fourteen unique complaints, with poor customer support once again topping the list of user gripes. Elsewhere people have also been angered by the speed of their broadband connection and problems experienced while trying to cancel (not releasing the line, failing to cancel etc.). Here are a couple of quotes from the latest batch of angry users:

I registered with Tiscali at the start of Dec 06. After 2 new modems, numerous re-installations and calls from Tiscali confirming there is no problem I am still not on line.
They have escalated the problem to BT 5 times, I was promised 11 call backs which I never received, and now when I call to complain and try to get on line Im told the update is that my problem has been resolved!
I get several calls a week telling me I am online when I am clearly not, there is no difference and I find the whole service farcical. I am paying for a service I have not yet been able to use. When I call to discuss my bill and that I am not happy and will cancel my direct debit I was rather loudly (I would call it shouting) told I cannot do this and they will cancel my service, which I do not and never had!!
I am disgusted and at the end of my tether.

I have been with tiscali for 18 months, first 12 months a few probs ,then it started very slow d/load speeds and always disconnecting - rang c/support.
When you eventually get through to someone in India, whose English is not that good, they say time and time again the problem is sorted ...it never gets sorted out. emailed complaints, c/services they don't want to know you just get automated answers. If you want to try getting your migration code, mission impossible.. Please consider all other broadband isp before you put the noose around your neck and sign up to tiscali.
