Orange has reportedly taken trials of its fledgling Internet TV (IPTV) service national and may be gearing up for launch, although details remain incredibly scarce, reports
Mobile Today.
The product had originally been due to surface at the end of 2007, though fears surrounding the services limited appeal in an otherwise unstable and aggressively competitive UK market are believed to have held it up.
It's worth pointing out that much of the uncertainty surrounding IPTV services has not yet evaporated and if anything the current credit crunch may have actually made things worse.
Similar services from both
Tiscali and BT (Vision) continue to face an uphill struggle and it's hard to see
Orange, with its somewhat poor track record in the UK broadband market, being able to do any better.
