Tiscali Could Approve Vodafone's £1.26bn Bid

Reports indicate that Vodafone Group PLC will formalise an estimated £1.26bn bid for Tiscali's UK and Italian assets within the next 24 hours. However, despite the attractive offer, Tiscali claims that "no decision has been taken" and the group is still reported to be talking with several interested parties.
We suspect that, barring any sudden surprises, the Vodafone deal may be all but done. Customers of Tiscalis own products and those provided under its other brands, such as Pipex, Nildram and Freedom2Surf etc., will no doubt be watching developments very closely.
