Virgin Media has launched its first Corporate Responsibility (CR) report, which focuses on the wider impact of its products. Buried deep within the Adobe PDF file (page 23) can be found references towards helping low-income families, specifically this:
Empowering kids with the e-Learning Foundation
Weve formed a partnership with the e-Learning Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to helping children from low income families get online. We intend to pilot a programme this year that will provide free broadband and support to around 1,000 families (across five cities) whose children have access to a computer and the internet at school but not at home.
