T-Mobile Cuts EU Data Roaming Charges
By: MarkJ - 21 June, 2008 (8:28 AM)

T-Mobile has followed yesterdays O2 news (here) by announcing cuts to its own European data (Internet) roaming charges. Customers will now pay "just" 1.50 per MegaByte (MB), which is a significant drop from the dizzy heights of 7.50! The price of texting while abroad will also drop from 40 pence per text (ppt) to 25ppt.

Typically the EU would prefer for all mobile operators to charge a far lower flat rate, similar to the prices they offer for local 'Mobile Broadband' (HSPA) usage. However, introducing such a thing across so many different countries and networks is probably more than a little unworkable; one day maybe.
