Orange UK has launched a new home and mobile broadband bundle that offers both a fixed-line (ADSL) broadband and
Mobile Broadband service for a single monthly fee of £20. The operator has also introduced a new
Mobile Broadband package called '
Internet Everywhere 30 Days' on a single one month contract.
The '
home & mobile broadband' service offers a fixed-line broadband connection with speeds of 'up to' 8Mbps, a 10GB monthly usage allowance, free wireless router, inclusive evening and weekend calls to all UK landlines (01, 02 and 03 numbers), free McAfee® Privacy service and an 18 month contract.
The
Mobile Broadband side of the package includes the same contract length, offers speeds of 'up to' 3.6Mbps and a 3GB monthly usage allowance. We note that the fixed-line prices are based on those covered by
Orange's unbundled (
LLU) network:
Asif Aziz, Director of Broadband and Home,
Orange UK, said: "
We believe these new offers not only complement our existing fixed and mobile broadband service range, but also provide flexible alternatives to meet the needs of todays 21st century customer - who quite rightly demands a premium service at the same time as best value for money."
Meanwhile the new and separate '30 Day'
Mobile Broadband plan costs £20 per month by itself, which also includes an 18 month contract, 3GB monthly usage allowance, £49.99 one-off fee for the USB Modem and speeds of 'up to' 3.6Mbps. However the contract length is just one month and extra data usage over the allowance costs just 5p per MegaByte.
