SkyUser reports that BSkyB (
Sky Broadband) is gearing up to introduce a
new line rental installation / service to its portfolio of products, which is expected to surface sometime during the second quarter of this year:
Sky will be able to set up a brand new phone line for a customer at a charge of £124.99, the line will be installed by a BT Openreach Engineer but maintained by Sky. Users will enter into a 12 month line rental contract with Sky but line rental will work out £1 month cheaper than BT's current offerings.
It's not clear how Sky will position the new service because it already offers a similarly priced line rental and voice calls option under '
