BTOpenzone, the broadband wireless hotspot provider, has today launched a new Wi-Fi package for businesses with more than 20 employees who regularly work away from the office. The price is metered and costs between 18 and 8pence per minute:
Because there is no set up charge for individual user accounts, there is no financial barrier to organisations. Usage is simply measured across all employees on the plan, meaning organisations are charged for their aggregated use on a monthly basis, no matter how much each individual uses.
From an entry point of 18p a minute, the price is substantially discounted for higher levels of use. For example, a business that collectively uses 6,000 minutes in a month (100 hours online) will pay just 8p a minute.
The new plan is simple for businesses to manage, providing a single view of their BT Openzone account. This eliminates the need to choose individual Wi-Fi subscriptions for users that may have varied usage patterns.
A single bill breaks down usage by individual, making it easy to see when and where the service is accessed. Businesses can add or remove users from the plan, providing total flexibility, and users have individual usernames and passwords to access the service.
If speed and bandwidth isnt essential then youd probably be better off with a local call rate (0845) dialup ISP.
