Pipex and In the Box Media have teamed up with the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) to launch a style of broadband based TV service:
Both parties, together with leading provider of broadband services PIPEX, have agreed a five-year package that promises to provide a bigger, and better, access for PGA golf pros, and fans, alike.
The new package, http://www.pgapro.tv, will include top quality video streaming of PGA events, coaching tips, video clips, new product launches, demo days and a whole range of member initiatives to keep golf pros up to scratch with the latest developments.
And, for PGA members, there is a special deal to bring broadband straight into the pro shop - the heart of the golf pro's workplace so they needn't miss a thing.
Mike Gray, the PGA's commercial director, said the scheme was putting golf, and the Professional Golfers's Association, right at the forefront of technology while continuing to promote the Association's members.
"We are taking a leading position in integrating new technology into the promotion of the game, and the PGA member," he said.
"We've created an opportunity for members to keep pace with that by putting broadband into the club shop and also for the public to reap the benefits as well."
Dominic Crolla, (insert title) of PIPEX said: "Golf if the latest activity to be revolutionised by broadband. Our technology will ensure that the services provided by ITB are easy to access and fast to download."
DRIVING GOLF INTO THE FUTURE
Peter Lewington, managing director of ITB, added: "We have previously worked with the PGA to produce a downloadable footage facility on its main information led website www.pga.info and are delighted to be able to expand our relationship with them further."
