Despite having removed the usage cap on broadband ADSL services several months ago, some customers have complained that they're getting warning letters about over use on Tiscali's broadband packages. The letter reads:
Dear Customer
Your broadband internet access service use has been highlighted as extraordinarily high and may be affecting the service we provide to other users.
High? Does it matter if you've openly claimed to offer an uncapped service? Typically the letter quotes a usage clause in their T&C's, which is unspecific and the ISP fails to include any example of what "heavy" use is deemed to be.
The mail then goes on to include an e-mail address for those willing to cancel:
If however you would like to cancel your Tiscali broadband service at no further cost, please contact
Email: broardbandservices@uk.tiscali.com
That's all well and good, but typically people have been angered (unsurprising) by Tiscali's slow customer support and the fact that, due to design (no MAC number), migration takes 12 days.
