Oddly named UK ISP The Welsh has announced the introduction of a new uncapped 150Kbps broadband ADSL service for £15.99 per month:
We are delighted to introduce this new service. The £15.99 price point is in line with prices that many providers are charging for Dial Up accounts. At around three times dialup speeds, customers will experience a service far superior to an ordinary modem connection.
Feedback from many clients using our £14.99 Unlimited Dial Up account shows that there is growing demand from consumers who require two connections. Often these are small businesses who require constant access to email without disrupting their voice calls at work and who also need a connection at home. These customers can now benefit from broadband connections at dial up prices, a saving of up to £28 a month for some.
It is also evident from current take-up of dial up services that many customers are happy with their existing dial up connection. For many the most important reason to move to broadband is not the speed increase but the convenience of having their voice line always available. This service is ideal for those users.
As with our other Broadband services and Unlimited Dialup there are no download caps, cut-offs or time constraints on the Value 150 service and engineer installation can be arranged.
