Leading business to business ISP migrates operating infrastructure to TeleCity
TeleCity (LSE: TCY.L), the award-winning pan European data centre services company, today announces that The Positive Internet Company Ltd, one of the UK's largest independent ISPs, has chosen to migrate its server infrastructure to TeleCity's facilities located in London's Docklands.
Positive Internet, which offers a comprehensive range of hosting, network and web consultancy solutions to high street brands such as HSBC, the British Film Institute and IKEA, previously located its server infrastructure at a separate carrier neutral data centre facility in London.
Due to the need for improved levels of service and the ongoing uncertainty about the long-term viability of its incumbent datacentre provider, Positive Internet decided to look for a new location in which to colocate its server infrastructure. It subsequently contracted for a dedicated suite and IP services at TeleCity London.
"TeleCity's track record in providing managed data centre solutions to many of Europe's leading ISPs and web hosters demonstrated that they really could deliver the high levels of service and engineering excellence that so many claim to offer in this market," said Joachim Jellinek, Director at the Positive Internet Company.
"TeleCity offered us higher levels of service in terms of 24 x 7 response times, monitoring and management," continued Jellinek. "They understood their fundamental role in maintaining our ability to offer service excellence to customers of Positive Internet."
TeleCity also worked closely with Positive Internet with the planning and implementation of the migration of their infrastructure between data centres.
Rick Hudson, CEO of TeleCity said: "We are aware that operators who outsource the management and hosting of their business-critical server infrastructure are not prepared to risk or put up with the poor service levels offered by some data centre providers in the market. At TeleCity we continue to be successful in attracting business from leading service providers who are looking for a reliable, secure data centre partner. I am personally delighted that Positive Internet has chosen TeleCity."
"Positive Internet offers a unique range of packages and services coupled with an unparalleled level of business integrity," continued Hudson. "We share their enthusiasm in what the Internet has to offer business and society and look forward to playing our part in the continued success of their company."
