UK ISP
Bulldog Communications has already stated its intention to introduce ADSL2/2+ technologies during 2004 (see our '
Future Broadband' article). Yesterday Bulldogs CEO, Richard Greco, went one step further, by reaffirming the existing news and setting a third quarter goal for it:
It won't be the only 'broadband first' for Bulldog in 2004, as it is currently testing an 8Mbps service. The company is currently the only 6Mbps provider in the UK.
On the downside, these high-speed services are or will be available only in the Central and West London areas covered by Bulldog's own network, but Greco expects that to change as the network coverage is expanded.Bulldog is easily one of the most innovative ADSL providers in the UK and it's good to see them pushing forward with faster technologies.
It'll also be interesting to see how ADSL2/2+ technologies fair when confronted with the issue of speed vs price. More @
