Not that it'll make even the slightest shred of a difference, but the UK has signed up with the USA and Australia as part of an international anti-SPAM (junk e-mail) agreement:
The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) have joined forces with the US Federal Trade Commission, the UK Department of Trade and Industry, the UK Information Commissioner and the UK Office of Fair Trading to reduce the amount of cross-border spam affecting the countries.
Acting ACA chairman Dr Bob Horton said the agreement would provide a framework for cooperation on the issue.
"The signing of the MoU will allow us to exchange best practice and policy ideas as well as conduct joint investigations into serious spam violations," he said. The saying "
every little helps" is quite valid here, yet the problem of junk e-mail is unlikely to be solved by anything that can't be properly enforced. More @
