Bulldog Offer £39.99 4Mbps Broadband

Posted: 29th Apr, 2004 By: MarkJ
UK ISP Bulldog Communications is, in celebration of its 4th birthday, offering their 4Mbps broadband ADSL product for just £39.99 per month to new subscribers. The deal will be available until 31st May 2004:

Bulldog Celebrates 4th Birthday By Offering New Subscribers A 4 Mbps Service For Just £39.99

Bulldog Communications, winner of the ISPA ‘Best Consumer Broadband ISP’ Award 2004, is celebrating its 4th birthday. To mark the occasion, Bulldog has reduced the cost of PrimeTime 4000, a 4 Mbps residential service, to £39.99* per month (on a 12 month contract) if ordered before 31st May 2004. All new customers signing up on or before this date will save £300 in monthly charges over the first year.

Only a few Internet Service Providers in the UK offer broadband services at 2 Mbps or higher, and Bulldog's £39.99 price point for a 4 Mbps service is priced comparably to many current 1 Mbps services. That’s a fourfold performance uplift for a similar price tag. A connection fee of £99.99 applies to the service.

PrimeTime 4000 offers a unique ‘time-of-day' feature, providing downstream speeds up to 4 Mbps during peak times and up to 512 kbps during off-peak hours. The unique service is designed to deliver 400 kbps upstream speed at all times and is available across all of Bulldog’s 38 central London exchanges serving a potential 400,000 homes.

Richard Greco, CEO of Bulldog said, “Less than three years ago UK consumers were paying around £30 for a standard 512 kbps service. Today, Bulldog is giving consumers the opportunity to benefit from and experience 8 times that speed at significant savings. Bulldog will continue to drive innovation and provide value-for-money, high-speed broadband services to UK consumers.”

Bulldog was one of first ISPs in the UK to unbundle the local loop, with Central London as its focus. This pioneering experience has enabled Bulldog to offer unique services such as PrimeTime, and to be the first ISP to launch 1 Mbps, 2 Mbps, 4 Mbps and 6 Mbps services to UK residential users.

*Price includes VAT. Service was priced at £64.99. Offer is valid for orders placed between 28th April and 31st May 2004 and subject to availability. £99.99 activation fee applies.
