78,000 Global Wireless Hotspots - 2004

The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) has estimated that global broadband wireless (Wi-Fi) hotspot growth will hit 78,000 during 2004. More over, it's expected to top 114,000 next year and will hit 180,000 by 2007. Sadly hotspots are still prohibitively expensive, especially in the UK.
