UK ISP Virgin.net is doing its bit for charity and Comic Relief by offering an online auction for things such as a laptop computer with a year's free broadband ADSL access:
The ISP's first online charity auction has other gems on offer including dinner for two with Sir Richard Branson at London's Babylon @ The Roof Gardens Restaurant.
Peter Tuomey, sales and marketing director at Virgin.net, said: "We're hopeful the auction will raise more than £10,000 for Comic Relief so fingers crossed that as many as possible will join in the fun to help us achieve it."The
Web-User item reports that the auction will last until 17th March 2003 and all proceeds go to Comic Relief.
