VoteHere Wins e-Voting Trial Contracts

Posted: 28th Mar, 2003 By: MarkJ
The UK government has approved a member of the Athena Consortium, VoteHere, to supply secure e-voting technology for trial in a number of upcoming local elections:

These pilots, confirmed by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), represent nearly a half million voters for May 2003 alone.

In concert with the Consortium, VoteHere will deliver key technology enabling remote voting by internet, touch-tone and mobile phone, digital TV and city kiosks for the Boroughs of Swindon and Stroud, among others.
