V21 Launch Unique ISP - Surf ‘n Earn

Posted: 05th Sep, 2003 By: MarkJ
UK ISP V Two One (V21) has today announced the introduction of their newest ISP off-shoot - Surf ‘n Earn (SnE). Unlike most standard pay-as-you-go (PAYG) dialup ISPs, SnE actually pays you to use them, sort of:

IT PAYS TO SURF THE WEB WITH NEW ISP SURF ‘N EARN!

WEB USERS CAN BUY DIGITAL CAMERAS, CDS AND TOYS WITH POINTS EARNED BY TIME SPENT SURFING THE WEB WITH WWW.SURFNEARN.NET

Web users surfing the net on a pay as you go basis will be delighted at the launch of Surf ‘N Earn – a brand new ISP dedicated to Internet enthusiasts who connect to the Web on a pay as you go basis. Surf ‘N Earn introduces an innovative new loyalty scheme whereby users accumulate points every time they log on. The more time a user spends online, the more points they clock up to spend as they wish on the wide range of products available on the Surf ‘N Earn site.

An offshoot of top ISP V Two One, Surf ‘N Earn uses its connections with one of the UK’s best ISPs to provide a high quality, fast and reliable connection. The service is easy to set up and there's no need for additional software or number changing. Internet enthusiasts can be planning their first purchase and surfing to their heart’s content within minutes – all that is required is a standard BT phone line and a 56K modem.

Steve Kaye, Managing Director of Surf ‘N Earn, explained, “Surf ‘N Earn is the first ISP to offer it’s users something in return for their loyalty. Working in a similar way to supermarket loyalty card schemes, Internet enthusiasts can save up points earned through time spent surfing the Web, then purchase their rewards from a wide selection of products available on the Surf ‘N Earn site.”

Steve continued, “A standard Web user will be surfing up to X hours every month on a pay as you go basis. On Surf ‘N Earn, this means that the points earned could be used to purchase a chart-toping CD every month, or be saved up towards purchasing one of the great gadgets available including digital cameras, kitchen equipment, toys and software. It really does pay to surf the Web with Surf ‘N Earn, and I am confident that the large number of Web users still connecting to the Internet on a pay as you go basis will be flocking to the site to start clocking up their points as soon as possible!”

With a guaranteed contention ratio of no more than 10:1, surfnearn.net subscribers can be assured of a fast, reliable Internet connection, as well as an innovative new loyalty scheme that quickly enables users to start redeeming points against great products. Log on to www.surfnearn.net for further information or to activate a new account today.

We've always felt that there was room for a style of 'loyalty' scheme; it'll be very interesting to see if this takes off, especially with those who still only require a local call rate (0845) connection.
