Title: Very happy
After Zen massively fumbled several things for me and I had my eyes opened to how their customer service had degraded over recent years, it was the final straw to give me the excuse to move to A&A. I was aware of their reputation from social media interactions but I had held off due to pricing and the bandwidth caps they had in place at the time.

Initially after moving, there were some problems. Relatively frequent brief loss of service events. However, all of this was communicated about (problems they were actively fixing with their equipment) and I had an automatic 4G failover anyway, so it barely affected me.

Since then, everything has been rock solid and they've even (at my price tier) removed the bandwidth cap, which I'd not come close to hitting in any case.

What I'm most happy about is they were able to achieve the thing Zen completely failed with: Allowing me to set up a broadband account for my mother that I pay for and she can discuss with A&A if needed.

That's been the situation for over a year now and I've not had "mid-contract price increases in line with RPI" and the service has been exceptional. The monitoring, billing and "admin" control UI have been useful and flawless.

If you're on the fence because of pricing, just don't worry about it. It's worth every penny.

Rock solid service in general, and when I've has physical line issues they've got Openreach out to fix quicker than it would have taken some of the bug names to admit there was a fault.

Andrews and Arnold have great customer support where you can talk to real people who know their technical stuff. The service has worked very well for me and the voip was very easy to set up as I used their step by step guides that were published on their website.

Yes the telephone support is quick to be answered and UK based, however the staff seem less than enthusiastic.

The network latency is poor likely due to their limited peering and a London based IXP presence only.

This is *the* ISP for anyone who likes talking to actual real human beings who are knowledgeable and able to help! Possibly the only service like this left in the known universe!

They're also great value for money and technically excellent. I've been with them for nearly a decade now, and I can't imagine going to another ISP ever again, and if you're not a customer I recommend you head over there ASAP.

Their emails aren't formatted as if they spent £££ on artwork and advertising, their UIs are sometimes clunky and like everyone else sometimes things go wrong, but the difference with A&A is that they then pick up the phone, figure out what is wrong within a few minutes and then fix it. Wow! It is like going back in time!

Can't rate them highly enough; they deserve more stars :)

I was lucky that One Touch Switching had just been introduced and switching to Andrews & Arnold was a breeze. I use my own router and had FTTP with my previous ISP. There were several reasons why I switched, firstly A&A has a good service reputation, secondly VoIP is available and thirdly IPv6 is active. Whilst I had no technical problems with my previous ISP, I needed to switch my traditional analogue phone line to digital (VoIP) as the old landline had been destroyed in a lightning strike and A&A could do that simply. A&A may not be a budget ISP but I'm glad I switched to them.

I recently moved house and had a very negative experience with Virgin Media unable to provide fibre service but only realising on the day of installation and another VDSL ISP failing to provide service due to problems with Open Reach.

A&A were fantastic and dealt with the complexities of navigating Open Reach quickly and I was connected in days. Later, when complexities in the internal phone wiring meant that the copper connection needed to be rewired they handled the communication with Open Reach and got it resolved within a couple of days, which was amazing based on previous experience with Open Reach.

The service is also very reliable and flexible, with very good customer support and lots of monitoring information available directly via the customer portal.

Highly recommended

I've recently switched to A&A after (too) many years with Virgin Media. A&A are brilliant, at last I've got a proper internet connection with static IP addresses, IPv6 support, no unwanted filtering or traffic shaping and the ability to run my own servers. I like the control pages and find the Constant Quality Monitoring very useful. The whole sign-up and installation process went very smoothly, and I get to use my own router. Calling A&A on the phone is great, you actually get through to people that can help you, not at all like the experiences have had with Virgin over the years. Overall I'm very impressed and wish I switched years ago.

I recently moved house, having not done so for more than 15 years prior. The process from AAISP requires to request a new connection at the new property and request a termination at the old - so there can be an overlap in service at both properties if required, which is great (I don't think one could do this 15 years ago). Where I live AAISP rely on BT for the access network and their lead time is 2 weeks (10 working days) - a cooling off period apparently - so basically no broadband for the first two weeks at the new property - or so I thought. I rang up AAISP to confirm my understanding of the process as described on their website, and if there was any option to improve the lead time that didn't cost the earth. I rang them late and Stuart from support answered and we had a good chat. He advised me to get a mobile SIM with a wifi device from a certain provider as an interim solution - that was the best advice I had in a long time. I then rang the next morning and spoke to Michael and he said to leave it with him and he'll see what he can do. I had my broadband activated within a week and he took care of the back end ordering to terminate my old service. He also managed to get the normal charge for a new line reduced to a nominal amount. I've been with AAISP for more than 10 years and this is why, excellent customer service and stress free.
