Title: Perfect
I am a Professional IT Engineer with over 30 years experience, and have been with Cabletel/NTL/Virgin Media since about 1997, with varying degrees of mediocre service but they were overall the lesser of the various evils so I stuck with them.

I then moved house to somewhere VM were unable to provision, and asked a group of highly knowledgeable people what ISP they would recommend and the responses were unanimous: AAISP.

They weren't wrong either. I connected to their IRC channel to ask some questions, and within seconds had responses from someone who clearly knew what they were talking about and in fact, I had the most enlightened and useful conversation I think I have ever had with someone from an ISP. It was actually exhilarating.

I was sold by that. From the moment I placed the order, I had helpful and timely updates, and even had my mistake spotted (and corrected) by their staff when I entered the wrong address (my brain had been fried by months of house moving stress). The installation was within 1 week of moving in, everything 'just worked' and was up and running in about 1/2 hour.

Now that I'm and AAISP customer I certainly don't think I'll be going anywhere else in future. Their support and service are a breath of fresh air. Incredible in this day and age of the attitude 'ignore the customers problems, they'll give up and go away eventually'.

Well done AA.

Having been with AAISP a couple of weeks now I find the way they run the company quite breath taking.Every little detail is covered from the moment they receive your MAC code.I wanted an isp who is very knowledgeable and has first class UK support,AAISP have this and its top notch.
The downside is cost and quite a low monthly usage for what you pay,but quality costs.
My broadband speed is low(around 2.7mb)this isn't AAISPs fault, its due to my long line. They have monitored and got the best possible from my line so I can't really ask for much more. They respond to your queries promptly and notify you by text, email and Twitter to any queries you might have, and of course you can just pick up the phone and call them.No long queues and being faced with menu after menu of button pressing.
If you want a top isp who understands broadband inside out look no further, just remember quality costs.
*I have scored low on the speed aspect, this in no way is AAISP's fault

I can't recommend this ISP enough. I'm a geek, so I'm often asked who's good. Well the answer is simple, these guys win every time. They are clearly very smart folks running it, they always provide the most amazing support. None of this scripted stuff, actual personal support. They're funny and thy have something which I think a lot of ISPs lack these days; principles! They fight for your internet rights.

Just forget any others. AAISP for the win!

I've been an AAISP customer for 10 years, starting with 512k ADSL, and now moved to Home::1 80/20 FTTC. During this, I've had bonded ADSL, different backhaul providers, house moves, and VoIP.

The key reason I've stuck with them (although they've never been the cheap option) is the high quality of customer service available via IRC and phone calls. There's nothing like speaking directly to someone who has no script to work from, and whose sole reason for talking to you is to get things sorted out ASAP.

There's a general attitude that, while I'm using consumer-grade backhaul, I should get the level of service other ISPs reserve for leased line customers. This is, in my opinion, the biggest reason to use AAISP and not a cheaper provider.

I've been with AAISP for 2 months now. The quality of service is excellent, the support is exceptional, and the online control panel contains exceptional levels of detail.

The only thing that may turn some people off is the monthly bandwidth caps. It's true that since moving to AAISP (from an unlimited package on ADSL24), I've had to spend a lot more time watching my usage.

I've entered in a 5 for services because I have no experience of their webspace or email services, and there's no option for "I don't know"

After using Be* as a provider for many years I was recently migrated to SKY after their purchase of the O2/Be. I thought I would see what they had to offer as they promised the same features as the existing service. Their migration from Be* was on time, but that was about as good as it got and so after a month of issues and slow network performance I'd had enough. I ordered the home::1 product from the aaisp website and within minutes I had account/IP details and port dates. Migration was smooth, the only issue was late arrival of their router due to a delay in their supply, but this was upgraded to nextday delivery and arrived an hour after the migration. Network performance was great, latency low and IPv6 as an added extra (very useful as I'm currently working on a big deployment at work). Slightly more expensive but the dealing I've had with them so far have been excellent and the only complaint I've had during the migration has been the constant calls from sky's retention team!
My only minor gripe is the 100Gb data cap which is quite low for a family using on-demand video services.

Will be staying with AAISP.

Title: Excellent
I have been with AAISP for a couple of years in my present flat in East London. I'm on FTTC 80/40, and it has been excellent throughout. Very fast and consistent speeds at all times, and fantastic reliability.

Originally I was on 40/20 and when 80/40 became available, I requested the upgrade. Due to a fault of my own when ordering on AAISP's website, it was provisioned as ADSL instead of VDSL 80/40. AAISP were great in managing BT and getting everything fixed up.

I work mostly from home and have a lot of services running on my line - video conferences, VOIP phones, lots of ssh tunnelling, scping, and pushing git repos around. It's been handled without missing a beat.

One thing though - AAISP is not cheap. But you get what you pay for. I've just bought my first flat and was to switch to someone else (Xilo are presently rated slightly higher on ISPreview) but the more I think about it the more I want to stay with AA. It's just a great quality product with top-level service.

My company rented an office in a new development, and BT spectacularly messed up installing phone lines. After five months, they finally managed to get some in.

Not having much faith in BT, we went for AAISP's Office::1 for the redundancy and the renowned ability of AAISP's support staff to deal with BT.

This turned out to be a seriously good choice. The phone lines had such long cables and hilariously bad wiring, they regularly cut out. But Office::1 works exactly as advertised, and we didn't notice the connections coming and going all day.

Of course, AAISP did notice, with their detailed stats through "Constant Quality Monitoring", and with remorseless efficiency, got BT to sort out their shocking poor attempt at providing working cables.

Besides BT, AAISP's support staff also had to deal with my demands for more upload bandwidth. They were totally up for optimising the connection, and with a load of effort, managed to get over twice as much upload despite everything being stacked against them.

It may not be the cheapest internet connection, but if you really need it to work, and work well, it's absolutely the best value.

I have switched my home connection to AAISP.

Been with AAISP both in business and at home. They aren't the cheapest but their service is exceptional. Support is provided by professionals who have access to BT. I've had two instances where my BRAs rate has dropped and one was resolved in 3 days and the other the same day the problems being with BT not AAISP. You have full access to data about your internet performance via web pages for your account. I can't recommend them highly enough.
