I've been an AAISP customer for over a decade and haven't experienced a single thing that I wanted to complain about or that frustrated me about their service.

The sales and support staff are all very good - they don't have scripts, they don't need them, because they understand what they are talking about.

I chose AAISP because they were the only provider at the time who offered blocks of static IP addresses at no extra charge (when BT were charging £28 per IP address per month, AA said there may be a delay if ordering more than 128 addresses at a time, but there was no charge).

They let customers run whatever services they want on their lines; there are no blocked ports, proxies or filters. Customers can have their own reverse DNS for their static IPs. You don't need to talk to support or sales or an account manager to change settings - customers have access to a lot of account settings so if you're confident you can make changes yourself.

When things do go wrong, there's no hiding or denying going on - status updates are honest and frequent.
When there is a problem reported it's investigated properly and quickly and customers kept informed.

I've never had dips in speed, unexplained outages, excuses or crazy changes of terms. The prices charged have kept on dropping, in line with BT wholesale prices. Always transparency.

I used to work (in networking) for a broadband and internet service provider, but never considered switching away from AAISP.

Moved into new place. A&A quickly got the phone line and broadband setup. Router arrived promptly and worked straight out of the box. Customer service is second to none and the ability to monitor your line via clueless is great.

Very happy overall.

I have recently moved to AAISP from Virgin and have been nothing short of astounded by the quality of the customer service and support.
The support engineers (particularly Stuart and James, from memory) were very helpful all the way though the process including talking me through the different services and how they work, organising engineers visits, and providing a completely un-matchable after care and tech support service.
They used their extensive knowledge to explain complexities of service providing in a simple yet coherent manor, and to find the service that perfectly catered to my needs.
The service provided by AAISP is entirely worth the price.
Highly recommend.

Moved to AAISP after yet another frustrating experience with BT.

Could not be happier. Yes they are more expensive, but you get what you pay for. Support has been excellent. My queries were all about non-standard hardware or just asking for clarification on how their service worked, not due to any particular problems I had. I received prompt, friendly, sensible and *helpful* responses to my queries. Help and support is available using various modes of communication, including phone. No automated system encountered so far, go through to an actual human each time!

Connections has been is without fault. There is absolutely no buffering or degradation of Netflix or iPlayer at peak times like I occasionally had with my previous IP.

Provided router is surprisingly good. It does look pretty cheap, but in terms of actual performance it outpaced my old draytek router in terms of wireless range and speed. Not as feature rich as some of the higher end ones, but it does the job.

I went with A&A as I liked what I read about them on their site and others as well as the fact that they are local to me (under 5 mins drive). Installation went smoothly although the line speed (ADLS2+) was not good (0.5Mbs up/0.5Mbs down) upon install, but one call to A&A resulted in a very good joke ("you're lucky, you've got a synchronous line!") plus a visit from a BT engineer. Post engineer visit the line peaked at 8Mbs up but quickly returned to its previous synchronous level. No action was needed on my part as I very swiftly received a call, from the same tech I'd spoken to before and another BT engineer was sent out who stabilised the line at 6.5Mbs. Yes, these guys actually take ownership of problems! Cheers Steve! I've been with A&A over 18 months now with no problems until today: Due to a BT fault my line was down all morning and most of the afternoon. After several progress update calls I jokingly asked if they had any space in their office as I was supposed to be working from home. You could have knocked me down with a feather when I received a call back within minutes to let me know that I was welcome to use a meeting room and their WiFi. I challenge anyone to tell a story of better service from their ISP!

Title: Excellent
Been with this ISP for about a month. Their customer service is outstanding, they offer a static IPv4 address and support IPv6.

They are a little bit more expensive compared to other ISPs but the difference in price is worth it, when you look at the whole packege.

The online management page "clueless" is also very good.

Title: Very Good
I have used AAISP for a year and a half at two sites and found the service to be excellent.

They are far from the cheapest if like us you use a fair bit of streaming media, but the support (via phone and IRC) is exceptionally good and the service hasn't missed a beat.

The level of control and monitoring information available via their "Clueless" web interface is something I haven't seen from any other supplier and makes troubleshooting easy.

The only reason I am not giving them 10 for value is the usage rates on 20CN (one of the sites is in the middle of nowhere) are really rather costly.

All in all very impressed!

I've used A&A previously at home, and currently use their Office::1 product, which is highly resilient.

The way their services are put together is very impressive - high quality due to low congestion, and well thought out in case of Office::1 (you get everything in one box, pre-configured).

Probably the most outstanding thing is their tech support - you can get through to someone very quickly on phone or IRC, and get useful responses by email, and they can do almost anything reasonable to sort out the problem.

A&A are also particularly good at working the BT 'system' - whether for faults, underlying speed issues, or moving a home/business line.

They recently gave great support even at weekend for a new order which was particularly challenging, involving a home move.

Overall, a bit more costly than some options, but you really do get what you pay for - ideal for business or people who work from home and need a reliable connection with great customer support.

I have used a lot of ISPs over the years. Starting with Demon Dial-up in the early 90's through to Cable and a whole bunch of xDSL providers.

I recently migrated from a BT Infinity FTTC service to AAISP Home::1 FTTC after a friend reccommended them. I am now paying a little bit more than I was with BT its worth the little extra.

AAISP aim to "not be the bottleneck" and they certainly have managed to deliver on this aim in the few months I have been a customer. The evening and weekend sluggishness I had become used to with BT Infinity has dissapeard, and my connection zips along 24/7.

If you are a technical user then the service really comes into its own. The Web Control Panel for their broadband lines is truly excellent. I have worked as a Network Engineer at another ISP, and to make some of the changes that are possible with a few clicks on the AA Control panel would have involved command line changes on routers and servers to achieve.

Technical support staff are extremely knowledegeable and helpful.

You basically get what you pay for here. A first class service, supported by first-class people. Its not even that much more expensive than the compettion.

If you occasionaly browse the web and send the odd email, you probably wont get your moneys worth here. If you use the internet continually, and require it for work then I cant reccomend AAISP highly enough.

Have been with AAISP for three years now. Used to be with Nildram before they were sold and turned into Talk Talk. Started on 20CN and moved to FTTC as soon as it was available. AAISP always go the extra mile, so if you're a techy and need IPv4, IPv6, DNS, backup MX etc etc, AAISP is the one for you too. If you want to pay peanuts and get a service that's worth peanuts go elsewhere! ;)
