I've been a Cuckoo customer for nearly 2 years.

Cuckoo is planning to become a retail outlet for Fern Trading's own fibre networks and doesn't wish to support customers using OpenReach, as OpenReach is now a competing technology. This means Cuckoo is giving all OpenReach customers the boot.

Cuckoo is selling OpenReach customers off to "Home Telecom Ltd.", an ISP with a very poor reputation. This transfer is due to occur on 1st April.

Cuckoo's communication has been extremely poor to the point of being deceptive. Their only explanation is "we're making big changes to our services" and "we're changing how we deliver broadband to our customers". No compensation is being offered. The attitude is "our T&Cs permit us to do this, so deal with it".

And to think this company used to advertise itself as fair and transparent. Avoid!!

I've been a customer of Cuckoo since December 2021 and although the service was rocksolid at the start in 2022 I've experienced a lot of unexplained downtime and I am currently in the middle of an outage that's ongoing and we are into day 5. The manager has apologized and offered me 50% off my bill this month as I am not getting a service. I've had multiple routers sent to my house (one in error). Customer support couldn't tell me what the colour lights meant on my router. these are very basic things needed to diagnoise a fault but the customer service rep said they don't diagnoise faults. The tools Cuckoo has to fix the faults are limited if you call in and good luck if you get an actual response if you email in or use the customer service bot. I made the decision to migrate to another ISP. I've found Cuckoo struggles when it comes to communicating. They have promised to call back and haven't done so. I've found myself stuck in a loop over and over again and the typical response is "Openreach closed the ticket" why did they close the ticket when the fault is still active? Cuckoo Broadband resells the wholesale product of TalkTalk Business but offers no logical reason for the additional costs. When Cuckoo first started it's advantage was it's short term contract but now they have switched to 12 month contracts. Why pay more for Cuckoo? I can't justify it.

Installed by Openreach on the day agreed at the time of order.

Service was live immediately, with a great router (Technicolor DGA0122).

Speedtests have had it peak at 950Mbps/100Mbps and has been solid.

Static IP available for £1/month.

The only thing I would flag up is that their help documentation on their website is very much geared up to FTTC rather than FTTP. More documentation on their FTTP provision would be good.

When I've needed help from Customer Service, they have responded to emails within a couple of hours with a solid answer.

Highly recommended.

My Cuckoo FTTC connection has been solid so far, with no downtime. The speed is good. You have the option to cancel any point as there is no contract so not sure what previous reviewer was talking about. If you email them with any kind of technical question, they get back to you quickly.

There is no website blocking like with some providers such as Talktalk. The price is likely to stay much the same over time, there are no 'post contract' price rises or extra costs. They will happily transfer your landline telephone number too, unlike some providers these days.

I would definitely consider staying with Cuckoo if they offer a well priced FTTP package, when Openreach builds their fibre network in my area.

I've been with Cuckoo for a few weeks. Seems to be a resold TalkTalk connection. I have been told it's actually the Business service but I can't confirm that. The setup was straight forward. £60 setup is reasonable and £29,99 a month which is what everyone pays - no contract and a landline is included as standard

I was online 2 days before my activation date - Hardware was already configured with a password and SSID that I selected so it was plug and go. The router is good and from what I can tell it's fairly expensive - it does seem to vary as to what router you get, seems random. I got the Techicolor DWA0120

Had to update my review because I have a really really bad connection, it's been down more than up since about a week ago - and no one seems to care - so I am leaving for a decent ISP. Also and apparently they see no issue with this - and are demanding full payment when I leave - shocking AVOID
