Reviewing Fibrus in N Ireland is a bit of a dilemma. On the one hand, they have been tasked with and have generally succeeded in bringing the 21 century to some beautiful but remote parts of N Ireland, making rural life and a livelihood in the digital world possible.
However, they have done this with the most basic support.
I lost my Fibrus service in the bad weather in February. Three weeks after loss of service, I was reconnected. Not that anyone at Fibrus thought to let me know. Openreach had restored service in a neighboring village after 3 days...
Fibrus is, a fast build, underresourced network which has brought a capability that would otherwise have taken Openreach a decade to deliver. But its support network is flimsy. Even on a good day, webchat support disappears like a teen with an attention disorder. Use only if there is absolutely no alternative...

Fibrus use a DHCP connection with no username/password to the property, they also provide you with a ISP side firewall which restricts incoming connections. The result is that you cannot host anything or connect to your home in any way from outside using DDNS or WAN IP (CCTV, web hosting etc). As you are not identified on the system with a username/password, those restrictions cannot be lifted without assigning you a static IP. A static IP is a chargeable addon, currently £6 per month. I cancelled as I was still within 14 days. I think that is important information which should have been made known before purchase. Didn't have the service long enough to attest its reliablility. The staff were very pleasant though. Would not offer static IP without charge.

Title: Pathetic
Had Fibrus in since early November. 3 weeks after they installed the router, it started working. Was fine for about 3 days and then its been pathetic for the last 4 months. CLose to 100% packet loss almost daily. Jitter all over the place. Downgraded from 300MB/S to 100MB/S despite needing 300. ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY. Avoid at all costs.
