Was with fireflyuk for approx 4 years. initially all was good but few months ago noticed a big slowdown on speed. after extensive communication they told me -
"Regrettably, this line has a downstream loop loss of 63.5dB, which is the highest value you can get on an ADSL broadband service. Unfortunately due to the combination of poor line quality and the length of this poor line is the reason why the circuit is getting such poor speeds and it is not just due to the line length but due to the quality of the actual BT cabling."

I''m affraid that what BT''s intial survey checks reported has turned out to be very true, there is nothing we can do to improve this ervice short for you requesting BT to install a new line.
I then had problems getting a mac code to move as well as being charged a full months fee for 4 days untill the changeover.
Firefly was costing 24.99 a month for 8mb service. l moved to o2 16mb service for 10.99 per month and guess what - that terrible line that firefly was giving me 240kbs download suddenly gives me approx 9mbs download speeds. l feel fireflyuk have [OVER CHARGED] and dont [CARE] when communicating with them doesn't help.
My advice is look elsewhere for better deals and vastly better service.
