Title: Dreadful
I have been with Titan for a couple of years. Since the start I've watched my download speed steadily decrease from a whopping 3Mbit to around 1.5Mbit.

I only really do some light surfing now so I could just about put up with the 1.5 but then over Christmas it dropped suddenly to 0.4 which is as slow as a week in the jail.

I tried to contact their support department via email several times; I have yet to receive a reply. I then asked for a MAC code so I could migrate away and I'm still waiting for a reply to that too (well past the 5 day turnaround which they are required to adhere to by law).

They were a decent ISP with good support service to start with but I'd recommend that you avoid at all cost.

Just recently Joined SurfAnyTime on there 24mb llu unlimited service, which i think is still on special offer at the moment. I've got to say, for just 20 a quid month with a 1 month contract on the sides, and no strings attached (even got free miagration), this company must be barking mad!

Service has been very good with a few minor glitches, I've only just transferred so hopefully that will come to pass as service settles in.

Speeds have been fluctuating between 14-18mbps downloading and 300kbps-1mbps uploading but I also hope to see them settle in within the next few days.

To put it bluntly, if you need a decent service with a bit freedom and control on your part. then definitely keep this one in mind. You won't be disappointed!

I am on their new unlimited service, no response to a number of emails requesting support over last 2 weeks.

Can't ring them, even their sales line is out of action.

...I have been a Surf Anytime customer for about 5 years now having switched to them following big issues with my previous ISP. I have experienced no problems with them and whenever I have needed to contact them, the technical support has been very good. Recently (October) they contacted me to increase my package from £19.99 to £24.99 a month because I was exceeding my 5GB allowance due to working from home a lot. I did this, but as this was a short-lived requirement, I contacted them last week to reduce it back down to £19.99 / 5GB allowance, which they have done no hassles / cost at all.[ADMIN NOTE: Please do not use the review system to comment on other reviews or members]

Migrated over to Titan because of an offer i received. The migration went ahead as planned and they responded to my emails. Since my migration i have never dealt with such a poor support system. They seem to be ignoring all my emails i have sent them recently, the speed is not as good as i had before considering i was supposed to be upgrading. They constantly leave answerphone messages stating they have phone problems so you cannot speak to them, and everything seems to be BT's fault if you do get a response. Can you believe it after one month i am already looking to migrate.

If an isp's customer isn't getting the service they should be getting, they are obviously going to have a moan about their isp.
This is where these review lists fall down, as many customers may be receiving a great service, but don't shout about it.
I've been with Titan for 22 Months now (entanet based supply), and can honestly say that I have received a good service during all the time I have been with them. Any enquiries I have had have been dealt with promptly and helpfully. The speeds have varied somewhat over the 22 months, hovering usually around the 6Meg zone but have never dropped below 3Meg.
There have been no outages, and I've never experienced any throttling, blocking, etc. ( I use the internet regularly (i.e. every day for a number of hours) and often download quite a lot of gigs worth of files.
I'm intend to stay with Titan as I am entirely happy with their service.

Lately speeds are more uniformly high including peak times which is great. Support is generally superb though I have dealt with one person who is unnervingly patronising to a non-expert like me but everyone else has been very patient. Not cheap but excellent value for money.I would recommend them to anyone.

When i first join them last year they were great, i was on the 30/300 pack and was amazed at the speeds i was getting after moving from BT, full speed no matter what time of day.

A few months ago just over night the speeds were crippled 720kbps down to 50-100kbps, i tried calling on many occassion and answer machine messages, spoke to Entanet and they admitted an ALT system was in place throttling it big style. I spoke to titan via email a few days later asking why their website said unlimited no throttling (blah blah blah) they told me they had moved to 0-bit due to issues with entanet and that is what the site referred to, Well thanks for telling me and offering me to move (lovely customer services there).

Stupidly instead of walking off i moved to the new 0-Bit 100gig a month pack, to be let down even more so, http traffic never over 200kbps every other form of internet traffic throttled to 30kbps peak and 110kbps off peak, xbox live i only get 1/4 - 1/3 connection rating in most games (call of duty 1 - 2 bars).

I have been emailing ever since, they keep telling me that they are looking to move again and are getting the MAC codes etc, and i will receive a letter in the next few days about this... Well we are now over 2 weeks on from that email and i have no letter, no email, still slow internet, still connected via 0-bit.

Not only am i paying more than i ever have for Broadband but i am now getting less than i was before speed wise.

I would suggest to avoid, there are many cheaper companies about, who yes, may throttle but not as bad as this and you are saving yourself some money. I am sure there are some that are cheaper and dont throttle, but that is where my search begins.

For the record this time last year i would have given them 10 stars but not anymore!

Update: i emailed around a week or so ago asking if it was possible to discuss the situation, to find out what the hell was going on or i would have to request my MAC code, i had a quick reply with only my MAC code enclosed (only the MAC code), if they would rather lose customers than discuss issues which they are fully aware of, sums up where this company is going to end up.

On a positive i am migrating to Naims 45gb business package (back to good old Entanet but with higher priority) will keep posted on news on that front hopefully all will be as i need.
