Started with iDNET back in 2008 and in 2011 also had my phone line transferred to them. As they are on a monthly contract then they seem to go the extra mile to satisfy their contracts. Although I am only on ADSL2, I get a constant download speed of 17 plus Mbps and an upload speed of between 0.9 and 1.2 Mbps. They are not the cheapest out there but with their support and great service they are worth every penny. In all the years of being with them (and that includes when I moved), I think that I have called their customer service about 6 times.
Great service, support and speed. Thanks iDNET

Update: 2023. Still with iDNET. Not found any other ISP to match their price structure, speed and service.

I'm about to renew for about the third year, paying one year's fees up front (12 months for the price of 10).
I was with PlusNet before, but they whacked up the price, refused to treat me as well as a new customer, and the customer service was very slow and not very helpful.
I paid quite a bit more when switching to IDNet, but got FTTC instead of copper wire from the distant exchange, and the customer service is in another league. Very responsive, phone calls answered pretty quickly, emails replied to same day, Knowledgeable staff who know what they're doing.
Interestingly, they have not increased the price I pay at all since I joined, so they are becoming relatively more competitive on price than they were.

Have used iDNet for over 5 years at multiple locations and with both DSL and FTTP. Service has been reliable and their provisioning is good and stable. On the rare occasions when there have been technical problems it has been really good to be able to reach someone on the phone, right away, who is technically capable and empowered to get the issue resolved. We originally started using iDNet because of the time taken to resolve technical issues with a previous ISP. Since then we have used them on more circuits because they provide a minimum hassle, reliable solution. They are not the cheapest ISP, but taking into account the quality and reliability of their core network and the high quality, responsive customer support I think that they represent very good value for money.

I've spent many years with the big providers: Virgin, Talk Talk, Sky, with all the usual bollocks of special offers then price hikes. The service was generally fine, but customer service generally useless. But I'm tight so I could never quite bring myself to pay more for a proper ISP.

But I finally got sick of this nonsense as Sky kept putting the prices up, and decided to skip all the stupid Amazon voucher bribery and just get service from a decent company (and they are a B-corp which I do appreciate). We've just had FTTP fitted to our pavements (cityfibre) but there is an exclusive deal with Vodaphone who _still_ can't do IPv6 and thus just do not deserve any money in 2023. So I've got IDnet SOGEA VDSL2 for now.

IDnet were very responsive to tech queries beforehand. I decided to use my own kit (old openreach modem and old plusnet One router flashed to openWRT) rather than add yet another wasted router to the world. I very much like the fact that this is an option with IDnet.
I was a little apprehensive about how the switch would go from Sky ADSL to IDnet SOGEA VDSL2 if it didn't 'just work', but it did 'just work'. No engineer visit, no nothing. Very smooth.
I've wanted my own static IPv4 for about 20 years but it was always not available or too expensive, so it was great to have that included.
The service has been reliable, as advertisted, for 2 months so far.

My time with IDNet was boringly straightforward. On the rare occasions where I had issues (e.g. packet loss for a few evenings) they were able to investigate them via phone or email. No problem with using my own hardware (indeed, IDNet don't supply a "standard" router). I only left them to join a local alt net's full fibre network, as the speeds available via Openreach's VDSL network are somewhat limited (I've awarded full marks for speed because I don't believe IDNet's network has ever been the limiting factor in my speed).

Since I switched to IDNet the increase on my download/upload speed is incredible. Everything from set-up to after care has been brilliant, I would (and have) recommend to friends and family!

Signed up with IDnet FTTC (no FTTP where I live) as I moved house, attracted by unlimited data, bring your own hardware and static IPv4 and ipv6 support. It's been flawless since I've been with them. Good value too.

First impressions were positive - the service worked well initially.

After a few months, lots of throughput issues crept in - mostly caused by the undisclosed use of Zen backhaul, and once by bad peering between IDNET and another provider. Initially, talking to support about this was difficult - they claimed they couldn't see any issues. After escalating the issues, a few attempts were made to resolve - but issues kept coming back.

It was okay for average use, but don't expect to be able to max out the line reliably using a single TCP stream (such as a HTTPS download, or rsync over SSH).

As someone marketing themselves as a premium provider, it was a disappointing experience.
