Back in February this year, to me, a totally unknown ISP (Quantum Air Fibre) posted cards through letter boxes on the estate, saying they were going to be installing FTTP in the village (plus 6 other villages dotted around). I immediately applied and to be honest, I really thought it would be quite some time before it all went live - if ever. Imagine my surprise then, when in early March, the Fibre network itself started to appear on poles etc.
Come the middle of March, an operative(s)(I wasn't at home) turned up on the allotted day (and time). One hole later (drilled through the wall) with a box mounted internally to which a fibre connection cable went to the supplied router. And we were live at 500mbps (up and down) all for £39 a month. It certainly beats the FTTC connection (now disconnected). As we tend to use mobiles for phone calls, I decided not to bother with the Voip option. Yes, their website could be better (is still evolving and has improved of late) but so far, no complaints at all. The supplied router works well as well.
