Title: OK ISP
After a year, Ogi seem OK to me.

We had some hiccoughs at the beginning of the contract with voice because BT weren't releasing the number. That was eventually sorted out and we got a refund for the unavailable time - didn't affect outgoing calls just incoming on the landline.

Broadband-wise the install went well - guys turned up on time, connected the fibre and made little mess installing the ONT where I wanted it. All done inside 30 minutes.

Service has been largely reliable - one major outage last week - lasted for an hour or two. Standard home service is CGNAT which might affect your choice of account.

The performance is solid, I always get 200/20Mbps, as advertised - more than enough for 3 adults and two Netflix addicts. Remote control of the in-law's PCs is jitter free.

Make sure you pay attention to their notification of contract end - their rolling contract price is significantly more expensive than going for another fixed term. They do seem to favour brand new customers, generally giving you 50% off for the first year.

The Ogi ONT supports old analogue phones - just plug them in directly to the ONT using an RJ11. VoIP is also supported and they have a VLAN speficially for that.

Was thrilled to discover new house had FTTP in the road.Website was lacking but signed up by phone. Quickly discovered the staff know less than I do as a lay person. Recommended next door as being better than FTTC,having had FTTP in the past.Neighbours gave up trying to get installation and went with alternative.Package didn't increase to new lower bandwidth tier as others do. They contacted me to sell me a new 2 year contract but their service isn't the best by a long way and there's no way to do anything for yourself online ad you can't even check when the contract is up online. 70mbps AAISP works better than Ogi 150. Slows at certain times and glitches out. When I refused to sign new contract the price went up to even more than Aaisp and the likes. They carried on phoning me more than I wanted about it until I got cross. Had already said if you charge this or keep bothering me I'll leave sooner than planned.Bill is now nearly £50. Openreach build in the next few months, so ordered new router and 4g dongle to tide me over until I can go back with a decent ISP again. Soon as set up I'm gone. Think they think they have me over a barrel as connectivity in Wales is apauling so think they prey on people who have no other choice. But I'd be inclined to go mobile or starling before going with Ogi. Looking forward to a proper Isp again. Too many of these cowboys in

This company is genuinely something else. A pre-installation visit was arranged very quickly but the engineer changed times twice and then didn't turn up, meaning a wasted day for me.
They rang me after I complained and told me they had turned up and that I wasn't in, a complete lie, the person on the other end of the phone accused me of lying. I received a text telling me my broadband was installed. When I told them to stuff their broadband they made an appointment to come round the next day.
They didn't respond to my email complaint at all and tried to remove my Trustpilot review without actually responding to my valid email complaints.
Imagine dealing with such complete incompetence after the install if a problem did arise.
Avoid like the plague.

Ogi Fibre Broadband, a Welsh company based in Cardiff, offers a reliable service with competitive speeds. While the service quality and customer support are commendable, the major drawback is the high cost compared to other providers in the market. This review will evaluate the pros and cons of Ogi Fibre Broadband and discuss the need for the company to become more price-friendly to retain its customer base.

Service Quality and Customer Support:
Ogi Fibre Broadband provides a reliable and stable connection with competitive speeds starting at 150Mbps. The company's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in their prompt and friendly customer support. Although there may be occasional delays in reaching the support team, the staff is generally polite and helpful. The post-call email, including a representative's picture and a feedback request, adds a personal touch to the customer experience.

High Costs:
One major drawback of Ogi Fibre Broadband is its pricing. Starting at £30 for a 150Mbps service, it is significantly more expensive than other providers in the market. Competitors like Gigaclear, Brsk, Zzoomm, and Community Fibre offer similar speeds at lower prices. The high costs make it difficult for customers to justify choosing Ogi Fibre Broadband, especially when more affordable options are available.
