The reality of life under Vispa jars violently with the review below this. I can only assume the musicmaker's review was either incorrectly filed or this reviewer's previous ISP was a little known sideline business of the Marx brothers. A third possibility is of course that the review is not entirely objective...
We run a vital community broadband scheme in West Wales, funded in part by the government and run by the community. We were sad to lose Upstream last month and sadder still when we realised what a disastrous move we'd made switching to Vispa.
They have failed to provide the service for our mlppp bonding having said they could, and are unable to explain why despite our providing them all the help they clearly needed. We are now down to one line.
They cited loss of their entire email system for not replying to emails despite having our phone numbers. They say say with their email system down they cannot even investigate the problems. Their email system was 'down' for 36 hours and counting by the time I called. How does a national internet service provider itself fall off the internet? It's almost hilarious.
Meanwhile their website said it was down for routine maintenance and would be back up 'this morning'... and that was at 5pm.
Overall their response has been to blame everything but themselves and they certainly have a policy of never apologise...
I cannot stress enough how disappointed the entire community is this Christmas. A lot of effort has gone into putting this remote village on an equal footing with other better connected places... Only to be deserted by a company that is clearly incapable of handling the number of customers it has.
I can provide a full catalogue of details for those who need them. I also believe in the right to reply. So, if Vispa would like to put their side can I suggest they do so by proving a reasonable service in the next few days and then we shall of course update this review. In summary, until they control their growth and get on top of their service for goodness sake look elsewhere. Adrian. Lawrenny Broadband Association.
