Broadband provider
TitanADSL, which use to be almost exclusively Entanet based, has teamed up with two other unbundled (LLU) broadband suppliers to launch a new range of up to 24Mbps products with no exit fees, blocked ports, throttling or lengthy contract terms (just 1 month). The highlight is a £22 per month package, which claims to offer a "
truly unlimited 24MB/s [1Mbps upload] service with no restrictions."
TitanADSL Statement:
For the past few weeks we have [CHOSEN] a selection of customers to participate in trials of our new unlimited broadband plans. Our new plans come in 4 choices - 8Mbs Unlimited with 1.3Mbs upload 12 month contract, 24Mbs Unlimited with 1.3Mbs Upload 3 month contract, 24Mbs Unlimited with 2.5Mbs Upload and finally 24Mbs with 1.3Mbs Upload 1 Month contract. All participants have all had positive impact in terms of performance and usage allowance.
We have also catered for users not able to receive our unlimited plans with new fixed capped services ensuring customers receive a solid service. All service come with no port blocking or throttling.
It's understood that the new wholesale contracts are with 186k and Cable and Wireless (C&W) through Murphx. TitanADSL says that existing customers can remain on Entanet's platform, at least until they wish to upgrade. The move is similar to one made by the Vivaciti ISP last March (
