Broadband vISP
TitanADSL has promised to resolve its customer support problems this week after their phone system was taken out of action by "
builders cutting through underground cabling". The fault, which caused nearly a month’s worth of support problems, was then exasperated because BT needed to get planning permission from the local council before repairs could be conducted.
A TitanADSL spokesperson told ISPreview:
"We can confirm work completed on Friday 13th November 2009. Our phone lines will be back up on either Tuesday or Wednesday as we would like to ensure everything is working as it should be. Email is being answered however not as quick as it once was due to having limited staff working which was down to phone lines being down."
Some customers have also been experiencing frustration with the quality of TitanADSL's broadband service (slow speeds etc.), which is supplied by a mix of Entanet and O-Bit. The ISP informs us that this situation will be resolved "
within the next month or so" thanks to the signing of a new supplier contract with Vispa Internet .
The spokesperson added:
"During December/ January we will be transferring all Entanet customers onto our pipe with the same products and pricing structure and new customers will be subject to new products and pricing which will be released soon."
There will also be some additional unbundled ( LLU ) based broadband package options from Murphx, which TitanADSL hopes will "
stop confusion with suppliers that we use". We suspect that changing suppliers might actually cause more confusion in the short-term but hopefully the situation will improve.
UPDATE 18th November 2009TitanADSL informs us that they have had to call BT back to fix a small stuttering problem on its lines, thus they are hoping to open for Thursday.
