Mobile operator Orange UK has announced two new
Connected Laptops; the
Asus 1005HGO and the
Compaq CQ61, both featuring the new operating system Microsoft Windows 7, as well as two new Mobile Broadband USB Modems (Dongles); the
Orange e1752 and
Option 515M, which come with a free 8GB Micro SD memory card.
The Asus 1005HGO with embedded SIM card is exclusive to Orange. Weighing just 1.27kg, this laptop comes equipped with Windows 7 Starter, 1.66GHz N280 Atom CPU, 250GB hard drive, bluetooth a webcam and features a compact 10.1" screen.
The Compaq CQ61 with Orange e1752 dongle comes with Windows 7 Home Premium and features a 15.6" screen, AMD Sempron M100 CPU, Wi-Fi, 2GB RAM and 5 hours of battery life. It also has a web cam and DVD player. Customers can choose from 18 or 24 month tariffs that range from £25 through to £40 per month on 1GB, 3GB or 5GB plans.
In addition, small and medium sized businesses taking a laptop on a 24 months plan will also benefit from unlimited UK data (subject to fair usage).
