Mobile operator Orange UK has today extended its range of Mobile Broadband Animal Plans to customers with the launch of Panther, Dolphin and Racoon. The Dolphin package is particularly interesting because of its 'Happy Hour' option, which gives you unlimited internet surfing for 1 hour at a time of your choosing plus a normal usage allowance of 2-3GB for £15 per month.


The plans are also available with laptops on 24 month contracts. With these packages, customers can own either the Asus 1005HGO netbook or the Compaq CQ61 full-size notebook – simply by paying an additional £15-£20 per month on top of their monthly Mobile Broadband package cost.


Orange also adds a Mobile Broadband Bill Promise - an automatic monthly bill cap which means that customers will not be charged more than an extra £40 a month for out of bundle national data usage if they accidentally go over their monthly allowance in the UK. Sadly this excludes any SMS sent or data roaming abroad.

Finally, Orange has also retained its position as the top Mobile Broadband provider in the UK for the third consecutive quarter, according to YouGov’s latest dongle tracker survey. The research conducted in April 2010 shows that customers ranked Orange top in six categories; overall value for money, customer service, overall quality, upload speeds, getting connected and reliability in the evenings.
