Consumer magazine Which? has released the results from its latest broadband survey and found that some of the UK's largest ISPs, AOL UK , Orange UK and Opal Telecom, also had the least satisfied customers. All achieved an overall satisfaction score of less than 40% and were awarded just one star out of five for customer service. Both AOL and Opal are part of the TalkTalk Group.
The broadband survey rated internet providers for broadband speed, connection reliability, customer service and value for money. However it's not all bad news because the average broadband satisfaction across all ISPs has increased slightly from 50% to 52% since the last Which? survey six months ago (
Full March 2010 Results).
Which? surveyed 9,657 of its online panel members between June and July 2010, covering 26 broadband providers, to reach its conclusions. Unfortunately the full results are currently only available to subscribers of the magazine, although we will post a new news item if or when the full details surface.
UPDATE 18th August 2010The winners (Best broadband ISP) of this survey were, in order, Zen Internet (89%), O2 (80%) and Be Broadband (76%). Zen has of course won this award for five years running and we will do a new story if/when we see the full results.
