The popular UK ISP Be Broadband has offered up a new twist to
Movember, an annual month-long celebration of the
moustache that is designed to help raise money and awareness of men's health issues, by re-designing one of its ADSL2+ router modems. It also wants everybody else to join in the fun too.
BE Broadband Statement:"Inspired by a photo on our Facebook page yesterday, we decided that we should unite our love for modems, moustaches and mildly ridiculous puns to bring you... MoDember!
To support the cause and celebrate your 'taches this month, BE will donate £10 to Movember for every person that uploads a “MoDem” photo to our Facebook page in November. We're willing to donate up to a maximum of £10,000 if enough people post up their MoDem photo (how's that for a challenge).
To take part, head over to the BE Broadband page at
www.facebook.com/bebroadband and upload your photo to our wall. We’ll do the rest. We’ll count photos from anyone, not just BE members, so if you've got a mate taking part then tell them where to stick their photo (no, not in that way)."
BE has promised to donate all of the cash that people help raise to a charity for
prostate cancer.
