The
McDonald's chain of fast food restaurants has revealed that its outlet in
Holloway Road (London) is officially the
busiest in the country, albeit only for usage of their free "
high speed" wireless ( Wi-Fi ) internet access service.
Apparently 750,000 UK customers use the free Wi-Fi service, which was introduced across all of the chains
1,200 restaurants in 2007. On top of that customers are said to be downloading approximately
500GB (GigaBytes) of data per day.
Mark Fabes, McDonald's Director of IT, said (The Guardian):"Demand for Wi-Fi in our restaurants is growing at an incredible pace, to the extent it is now one of our most popular side-orders."
