EE and Three UK Named Fastest Mobile Broadband Operators in Hull

A new RootMetrics study of Mobile Broadband performance in Hull (East Yorkshire, England) has revealed that EE was the fastest mobile operator with an average download speed of 9.6Mbps and an upload of 5.5Mbps (Megabits per second). Three UK became the distant runner-up with O2 and Vodafone delivering the slowest performance.

ScotRail Expands its FREE WiFi Service to 25 Railway Stations in Scotland

ScotRail preps expanded plans to roll-out a free wifi service to all 38 of its class 380 trains and at 25 railway stations across Scotland by spring 2014. Just make sure to avoid any “bandwidth heavy” websites.

BT Wi-Fi Bring Public Wireless Internet to 5 Million UK and Ireland Hotspots

BT WiFi has announced that it’s now home to a network of 5 Million public Wi-Fi hotspots in the United Kingdom and Ireland. But most of those come from customers of BT’s Total Broadband packages and its FON supporting routers that automatically turn home connections into public wifi access points.

Camden is First of 17 London UK Boroughs to Deploy Free Public Wi-Fi

The London Borough of Camden in England has today become the first of seventeen councils in the capital city to confirm a free public Wi-Fi (wireless internet) service to streets and open spaces across the borough, though it’s only free for the first 30 minutes of use (daily).
