The national UK Connection Voucher scheme, which offers grants worth up to £3,000 to help SME businesses get a superfast broadband (30Mbps+) connection installed, has seen a massive surge in interest with 24,000 businesses now taking one. But the money could run out by the end of 2015.

The Body of European Regulators of Electronic Communications, which represents telecoms regulators from across the EU (e.g. Ofcom in the UK), has conducted a new survey to uncover consumer attitudes towards Net Neutrality. The study unsurprisingly reveals that consumers would switch ISP if a provider imposed certain limits on their access.

Business ISP WarwickNet appears to have stolen a march on rival BT by becoming the first Internet provider in the United Kingdom to commercially deploy VDSL2 Vectoring (ITU-T G.993.5) technology, which improves performance by reducing crosstalk interference, on their superfast SLU Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) broadband lines.
